The ET pilot gets out to check the condition of the space ship. The only visible damage is a popped wheel. The alien crew are all about 3 feet tall, as so many alien encounter reports have described, so the vessel is much smaller than one might expect, and the wheel correspondingly small.
The problem confronting the ETs is how to replace the wheel so that they can head back home, assuming there is no other damage to the craft. The pilot decides to check the many stores he sees around him to try to find a small wheel. After a long search, he notices on display a tray full of what look like his UFO wheel. Excited, he enters the store, which turns out to be a Deli.
"I need one of those flying saucer wheels" he tells the owner, and explains his situation. The owner is puzzled so the ET takes him by the hand and leads him to the window display.
"Oh, those aren't wheels. They're bagels" .
Noticing the ET's failure to understand, he decides to demonstrate his meaning by offering him one to eat. After a bite, the ET becomes excited and gushes "You know what, this would be terrific with lox, cream cheese and a slice of onion!"
I watched "Mars Attacks" again last night. Very funny, with an amazing cast.
Love it! Thanks for posting
