Wonderful serene and moody shot, Tommy. The ripples from your fish complete the tale!

If it were mine, I'd do some work to correct some of the "halo" effects and chromatic aberration. It's already very nice, moody, soft, quiet and peaceful.... And with a little work could be a really great shot. I imagine it really appeals to avid fishermen.

Thank you for your suggestions. On closer inspection, I see what you mean. I went in and removed the CA and the halos, and the image was certainly improved by those small actions. Much appreciated!

At 85 years old I can’t deal with waders and slippery rocks below. But gawd do I remember the feel of wet fog and the chill going down my spine as I wonder how am I going to keep the clunker under that ripple from wrapping my line around the piling. Lord don’t let me miss this one! Thanks for helping me relive those wonderful days on the river.

I am very pleased that my image brought back such great memories! Ain't photography grand?

Early morning on the river... eerie with the ruined bridge pilings, fog and quiet... then, the first strike of the trophy fish I am about to catch! Dreamscape? Perhaps, but that's what dreams are made of, right? As usual, download provides the best view...

very nice looking shot...i love the foggy and misty look...must be awesome to be there so early to enjoy the
quiet and peacefulness.

Very nicely done. You took full advantage of a photographic scene.

With my camera in hand I’m as excited about what I might see around a bend in the trail as I was contemplating what I might find around a bend in the stream I was wading. Thanks again for helping me remember those earlier experiences.
