Taking a break.
hello.
i think i might take a break from photography. i feel like i’m not good enough for this hobby.
all my pictures haven’t been the best recently.
it’s also a expensive hobby as well.
i’m not saying i’m giving it up but i think i might take a break.
thank you for everyone who has helped me get to the point where i was.
I wouldn't be so quick to hang it up. We all go through what you are experiencing now. The images that you submitted to FYC, i have seen an improvement over time. I think most of us are our own worst critic. So just continue to learn from you mistakes and suggestions from other that you feel know what they are talking about.
Try shooting something that you haven't done before. That may help get the passion back into your photography.
You need a shooting buddy to go on shoots with. My photography stopped cold when she moved to Miami.
Hang in there. We all go through this at some time or another.

You said: "all my pictures haven’t been the best recently."
I can say the very same thing.
I know that just about every good picture possible remains trapped within my Canon, grin.
The more you shoot and honestly critique your pics the better you will get.
Listen to the positive and helpful folks here on the Hog.
Also, take pics of the same subject from different perspectives to see what works.
Like me, I'm sure that you have some wonderful and beautiful pics "Trapped" in your camera just waiting to be released.
Whatever else you do for yourself and others . . . please continue to . . .
Smile,

Contrary to what some people are saying, it's OK to take a break. Much better than suffering burn-out. After a while you'll be refreshed and aroused and come back more enthusiastic than ever. I speak from experience.
Can relate to how you feel. Have not been out shooting in awhile. So this is my break but I don't intend to quit and I hope you don't also. Get refreshed and give it another try. It might help if you can find a buddy to shoot with.

No harm in taking a break. I haven't done much since Covit quashed my trip to Greece last year. With Fall in the air I am starting to get the itch again.
Look for a Photography class or course in your area. I always find them a good stimulus.
thank you!
i’m sorry about your trip to Greece!
i’m taking votech classes for different things. although i’m taking photography first.
so i think i had a very short break 😂
