My name is Pilar I live in Exton Pennsylvania USA 🇺🇸. For 35 years I have been a photographer a professional in color correction and the used of photo shop. I used my eyes to color correct and I don’t believe that other instrument can do it for me.
Welcome to the forum, Pilar! Just yesterday, there was a discussion about color correcting. I also did it with my eyes for many years of color printing, color copying, and color balancing. But, as I posted yesterday, my eyes can be "flexible" in what they see, whereas modern color sensors are totally objective. Yes, they can get exact color readings, but since eyes can adjust to what they take in (when we see a room lit by incandescent light, do we wee everything orange?), even when machines and computers can get perfect color balance, only the machines really "care". Our eyes would adjust to a wide variance from exact, and the aesthetic appreciation from our brains would cover a lot of slack of the variance from true color balance.
…the eyes have it…? I’d be interested in seeing the colors you see…please join the post-processing digital images section and photo critique section in this forum…you can get there by going to the bottom of this page and clicking on “all sections”…welcome to the forum…!
