When slaves were constitutional?
When women couldn't vote?
When minorities couldn't vote?
When people had to work 7 days a week, 60-70 hours a week?
When companies could poison your food, your air, your water?
When Native Americans had their land stolen, were slaughtered or forced to move to desert wastelands?
When young men were drafted to fight foreign wars that were not in defense of the country?
When cultural and racial minorities were redlined from living in many areas of the country?
When cultural and racial minorities were denied access to public services, and were denied service by businesses?
At which point should it be kept as it is. br b... (

Our constitution didn't cause any of those injustices, the greed of mankind did. Our constitution helped to repair most of those wrongs. DO NOT FORGET THAT YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST YOUR GOVERNMENT BECAUSE OF THE CONSTITUTION. TRY THAT IN CHINA!
But tell me, just how do you want to change the constitution? Or do you want to replace it with something more just. If so, tell me exactly with what you would replace our constitution. Tell me what form of government would be gentler, kinder, more caring than ours? As you think this through do not forget that NO GOVERNMENT CAN GIVE YOU ANYTHING THEY DO NOT FIRST TAKE FROM YOU".
Can you tell me of one single country ( more than seventy five years old) that does not have a history of oppression for one or more groups of humans? Don't even think about starting with Native Americans
because they practiced slavery, brutality, torture and human sacrifice.
Have you forgotten that of the 195 countries that now exist in this world 194 have a history of slavery. India still has 3.8 million slaves. North Korea, Eritrea, Burundi, Central African Republic, Mauritania, South Sudan, Pakistan, Cambodia and Iran still have 25 to 40 million slaves. Every time you use a Nestle's chocolate product you are helping to keep 19,000 black and brown children enslaved in Cote d'loire.
Why are you raging against an issue that no longer exists and speak not a word about the crime that is being committed right in front of your eyes? Why do you not have a single word of praise for a country that spent 100,000 lives to end an injustice? You are silent about a "new nation" that we just helped to form that throws boiling water on babies, makes their women wear tents and at the same time you denounce my country for being too slow to give the vote to women.
You asked, "at what point should it (our Constitutional government) be kept as it is"? That point is NOW - while we still have the ability to right a wrong. While we still have the right to speak out about an injustice. While we still have the right to succeed or fail on our own merits and not the whim of some bureaucrat. While "we the people still rule the elite, not the elite ruling us". While I can still challenge your convictions in a public forum.
I'm listening, I'm waiting for an answer to my questions.
