The Cumbres and Toltec Railroad in NM/CO finished up their Victorian Iron Horse Round-Up this last weekend.
The event was in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of operations of the C&TRR which was in 2020 but of course, COVID had other ideas as to the celebration's schedule. So, it was held in 2021 instead.
Over this last weekend, the final two days of the week-long events were held in Chama, New Mexico. Close enough for me to attend.
The event featured, amongst others things, two 1875 steam locomotives from Nevada, the Eureka, and the Glenbrook. I managed a few photos of both--seen in between the many folks there to see them as well. Shortly after these photos were taken the locomotives double-headed a train to the Cumbres Pass.
Very fine! Wonderful old locomotives. An event to enjoy.
Interesting that they use WD40 for cleaning...note the rather large can of WD40 on the forward desk of the locomotive. If you aren't using it on your locomotive perhaps you should.
I was at the reveal a few years ago of the Glenbrook after it was restored at the Nevada Railroad Museum in Carson City.
There are more photos of the event...check out the web page in my signature block below if interested.

Great work. I love the action shot of the men refilling the water. All very nice. You did those magnificent machines justice.
Nice railroad action. Love the colors and lighting.

Looking at your Smugmug site, you got a great shot of the crosshead water feed pump on the right side of the Glenbrook!

Thanks Pat, but it wasn't on purpose...
I can't resist making some of these older loco B&W, to better look their age. To be honest, however, it is almost a sin to turn any of the Eureka or Glenbrook photos to B&W. The colors of these two locomotives has to be the most popular feature of both. But still... Now if it wasn't so much work to delete all those 'people' on the right side of the image...
