Getting there seems fairly easy. Fly into Denver. Take a puddle-jumper to Colorado Springs. There, rent a car with 4-wheel drive. Head for Buena Vista. Explore and photograph environs.
BTW: Did you have to take an oxygen bottle to photograph the scenes at that altitude?
