Have you heard of a company named SCAM?
So they have gone out of business. Are they in a position to be selling their remaining assets? Or do those assets now belong to any creditors?
Many years ago, in New York City, in the Times Square area, there was a big store with a wide variety of general merchandise including some cameras and accessories. There was a large sign in the window, in a kinda day-glow paint reading "GOING OUT OF BUSINESS- ROCK BOTTOM PRICES"! The store and the sign were there for years.
There must have been complaints or the police or some consumer protection bureau got involved and an investigation was launched. It turned out the store was a corporation or limited company registers as "Going out of Busiess Inc". They were buying job lots, stuff being auctioned off from bankrupt businesses, some factory rejects, whatever! Some of the prices were low, others were not.
I suppose they got most of their business from tourists- most of the locals knew better.
The funniest thing, since the owners knew nothing about photographic gear, there was some strange stuff on display. A Polaroid camera sported a huge supplementary telephoto lens, stuck on it with an adapter ring. There would be no way to obtainn proper focus. These lenses were displayed on many incongruous cameras- perhaps they appealed to the local peeping-toms and wannabee spies?

My dad had two sayings:
1. You get what you pay for.
2. I don’t believe anything I hear, and only half of what I see.
That’s been mostly true in my life.

If it's too good to be true, it's usually is. Remember this saying?
I tried one of those "store closing" ads. Paid $89.99 for a high end Sony Mirrorless. I was 99% sure it was a scam but thought--just in case-- I'd try it. Tracking said it was delivered to the "front desk in the lobby". Of course, my address is a private home, not a condo. Naturally, never got it, so was able to get my money back through PayPal. All those ads are truly SCAMS. Can't understand why Facebook allows them to continue.
That is not even possible. Even if the store is a 100% scam, your own credit card company or bank will refund your money in full. Keep being afraid of shadows.

Yup. Big time.
Another reason to hate FaceBook... no curating.
I think the old adage: "If something seems too good to be true it usually isn't true." applies in cases like this.

I checked with them. They don't sell Sony or any mirrorless!

Clearly that stuff doesn’t actually matter.
Fictitious entities do not have real assets not real creditors.
They usually do have some merchandise, often salvaged from the remaining intact inventories of fires, floods, bankruptcies, etc. such merchandise may possibly be perfectly OK but there’s no one standing behind it.

Yes, a familiar sign in Manhattan. The City tried to cut down on that.
My dad was about to start ordering stuff from the site. I told him it looked suspicious. "It's got paypal" he said 🤣😂. Thank God he listened
