Congratulations Mack45
Glayva is the best way to start retirement - Slange var.

And may the best you've ever seen be the worse you'll ever see.

my dad retired at 72,he gardened in the summer and sat back the rest of the year.he enjoyed life for 29 more yrs.
i retired 10 yrs ago, tossed my watch and scheduled more down time per day, so far so good. i do what i can as much or little as i want. i worry about those my age who"have to" work. i also worry about my friends who feel they have to be bussier than when they were working, and defend it by trying to make me feel laazy. It aint working.

Good for you. This is your earned time and you have the right to spend it the way you want. I also feel very sorry for those that continue to work because of different circumstances. I also pray for them and their families. I consider myself a very lucky person and I thank God every day for what I have.

After 45 years in the Canadian labour force I can retire from my sawmill job and do not need to ever do labour to earn a living again.
I am testing a 26 of Glayva out for to see what is at the bottom. I am just going to go to college for a year and see what works from there on.
I am taking courses in computer technologies.

Congratulations!! Enjoy your freedom to do what ever you like...within reason of course..
Just be warned, time passes twice as fast after you retire.

Thank you I am still staying active as much as possible. I just can not walk as far but I can still get there. I am getting to really enjoy photography even if I only know the very basics. I am trying to plan a trip to NC this year I want my son to see his grand father one more time in Sanford NC .
My wife and family are from there.
My father in-law is getting to his last years and I am trying to get all of my family to see him. I have spent a few months in North Carolina over the years such a beautiful area.

What a coincidence that you mention NC. I just paid a visit to my daughters in Raleigh and heading back home tonight. Was lucky to capture the fall change in Asheville and Chimney Rock. Really enjoying my photography. I also can't walk that far but still can move enough to capture some good pics.

Retired 2 years ago and never regretted it for a second. Retirement is highly under-rated. It's a second whole life!

Congratulations Mack!

I am into my second year of retirement. I have hurt myself more times from working around the house and yard after retirement then I had done before retirement!? It seems that I am busier now then before I retired!?

Just remember this... have lots of fun! Why? It is Not fun when you are Not having fun! :)

A well-deserved retirement mack45, after nose to the grindstone that long! I've been retired for so many years it's hard to remember when I used to work:O) It sounds as if you've already discovered the secret to a successful retirement - KEEP BUSY.
Enjoy college and your new casual life for a long time! (I don't know how I ever found time to work six days a week like I used to, because now I nearly have to keep a log of things I'm doing so I don't criss-cross!
Happy Retirement mack45

Congratulations! You'll love it, but don't let them talk you into helping for 'awhile'....which never seems to end. Enjoy!
