Then while I was looking out the door about 1 PM guess who landed on the block retaining wall as the birds did a panic blast off. About 6:40 we had a repeat visit. Both times the hawk looked around like it was puzzled the other birds all left. After all he did politely ask them to stay, he just wanted to make friends. For some reason the other birds didn't buy that line.
