Sony 200-600 storage lens pouch recommendation

Hello.
The flimsy lens pouch that comes with this lens is not adequate for transporting the lens to the field. I would like to have a lens pouch that would allow me to carry the lens safely (well padded) and independently.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

lensrental.com ships that lens in an excellent case. You might ask them.

Possibly useful. You might check B&H as well.

For $30 some odd dollars, you'll not do better than this:

https://amazon.com/JJC-200-600mm-Telephoto-SEL200600G-Teleconverter/dp/B0948CZTS7/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=jjc+lens+pouch+200-600&qid=1629865319&s=electronics&sr=1-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzRENBRTlRTFZGRzRRJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDMxNzc5MkwyTEFJTlBXOEU1JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAzMzMwMTMyVlA2SEUwUjZLNVMmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl

I have several JJC pouches for my long lenses, and they are excellent quality (I do not however have the FE 200-600 lens.) Just make sure the stated dimensions will accommodate your lens.

Lenscoat, ThinkTank/Mindshift or Tenba. Maybe LowPro, Tamrac

Great Lens. Let me know if you find it so I could purchase one for my lens!

I have used the Ruggard LCY-112X5 for years.
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1074980-REG/ruggard_lcy_112x5_lens_case_12_0_x.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

By the way, the 200-600 is one of the sharpest mid range telephoto lenses available to Sony photographers. I have used it extensively in Florida for years. Below is a grab shot of a Roseate Spoonbill I shot a couple of years ago using the 200-600. And this one was taken at 200MM with the Sony a9.
Good luck and keep on shooting until the end.
PS. I just remembered, I have also used the following, it is a sling bag that you can carry over your shoulder into the field if you want. I have also used this one and it is nice. Includes a rain bag and side pocket.

I agree 100% the JJC lens cases are excellent, with great prices. I have 2 or 3 of them and will buy more as needed.

Love the shot Bill. I also love my 200-600mm and have used it on my A9, A7RIV and now A1 and it delivers.

First: shot with A7RIV, wild elephant seal rookery on Pacific Ocean coastline of California. A pup squeals as it tries not to get crushed to death by the 5000 pound amorous bull as it goes after one of its cows. The pup survived this time, many do not. 600mm, f6.3, ISO 400, 1/1000 sec.

Second and third : with the A1, BIF (Boys in flight, LOL), kids fly as they are pulled by fast speedboat on Brookings Lake, Manistee National Forest, Michigan. 600mm , f8, ISO 800, 1/2000 sec.

…in looking at pouches…you might want to consider one in which can include your camera attached to the lens…this way you are not putting the lens on in the field…anytime I’m taking my big lens I am using it…Apecase had what I was looking for…

I've made a number of lens transport containers from PVC pipe, felt or closed-cell bio-inert foam, and luggage clasps. Relatively inexpensive and almost bulletproof.
