We spent the past weekend in Southern Georgia visiting family. I didn't have many opportunities for photography but these beauties were coming over the fence from next door and they were hard to miss!

Carol, these are gorgeous! Have you been taking lessons from Ed?

Thank you so much! Ed is an inspiration for sure! For me just a lot of practice and experimentation. These had chain link fence mixed in and it was a challenge to get rid of.

Super nice.
The fact you perfectly removed the chain link fence makes them even better imo.

So I gotta ask. Did you remove the chain link, or somehow camouflage it? (I'm asking because I frequently fight the same problem.)

Thank you! It was late in the day so there wasn't a lot of light. That helped.

There's no one simple answer. I tried everything I could think of. I darkened the backgrounds overall. I used Affinity's In Painting tool to remove some of the fence. In some cases the links had a bluish cast and I desatured the blue. In some areas I painted over the fence. I just played around with them until I forgot the fence had ever been there.

Here is SOOC before any editing of one of the shots. Oh, the wonders of PP>
