Hi all!
This is my first hedgehog topic, so I thought I’d introduce myself. I’m a mostly retired musician: as music was my job, photograhy became my hobby. Then photoshop arrived.. wow epic collage fun.
This image started with a photo of one side and the corner of a building. I mirrored it, got it lined up, and then used Transform to change the geometry of the building some, to introduce the foreshortened look.
The metal frames around the windows in front of the “Leader’s" domicile are sort of real as I used the frames from the real photo but altered the arrangement some, removing a crossbar at about waist height at the same time.
Next I put a shot of one side of my basement in there: including the model. The mask just somehow made sense so there it is. Next, I added fake “window glass” in front of the room: the reflected trees help the illusion.. a very transparent layer.
I followed up with some effects over the entire composite. I find having some processing over everything in a composite somehow glues stuff together :-)
Ok, that’s it! I’d love to hear comments of course. I’m not sure if anybody cares about how a composite is made, but for any interested parties I thought I’d rattle off the whole event. Fun stuff in my world :-)

Welcome! This is interesting, creative and well done. Linda has given you good posting advice. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks NJFrank! I'm delighted you like the image :-) As well I appreciate knowing that you found my thought process of interest: I have been lurking for a while, and did not always see much description of either the thinking or process behind posts. Cake!
Jaymatt :-) Thank you!! I have had this one about for a while, so I revisited it a couple of times to fix up stuff I noticed later on. Funny how easy is it to focus on some element and not notice some glaring other issue until some time later.
CJWilson. Thanks for your fine feedback!! I note you commented on my architectural side. As it might be of interest to some, here is the first major element of my image: the building :-)

Phil. Nice comments, thanks for taking to time to scribe them up. Agreed re Linda's advice: I had no idea what was going on there. I imagine a 1920 pixel wide image would have been perfectly fine, vs my eventual 4444 pixel post created after I thought the 900 pixel preview was my 1920. ahh well live and learn.
Oh yes, we do like to know how you got there, it makes the image that much more interesting. By the way, when responding it’s useful to use the ‘Quote Reply’ button, then we know exactly who you’re responding to.
Your download now has very good definition and pixel peepers will be sated. I usually save at around 2500 pixels on the longest side and 72dpi. That stops the image being useful to those bad boys that swipe other people’s stuff - not that I’ve noticed any of that via UHH.
So, great to have another composite fan in the group, you’re very welcome for sure. And the image you’ve posted here is very nicely done. I’m looking forward to seeing more.
Welcome and I really enjoyed your creative image. Bev
