Great series of an amazing accomplishment. Built by hand by workers who only had picks, shovels and wheelbarrows.
While you were there did you visit the Allegheny Portage Railroad?
You can watch the trains go by there everyday at Virtual Railfan on You Tube. Many other great railroad cams too.
I increased the speed of the video to 10X. Instead of going about 20 MPH it was closer to 200 MPH. Now I know what a Bullet freight train would be like.

With relatives in mid-state PA I have been to the curve many times and these pix are outstanding!
Great series. Your drone takes wonderful photos. Mahalo for sharing.
Great shots. I can see why you enjoy going out with your drone. It does a great job of showing scenry from the middle distance. Does anyone remember when if you called someone a drone, you were calling him a mostly useless fellow who didn't do much for himself but lived off the work of others?
