Back in August 10, 2014 around 3:30 am, I was shooting the Meteor showers. It wasn’t a good night for them where I lived in Connecticut. So I shot a couple of stars and called it a night(morning). When I down loaded the next morning I found this picture. I’ve asked many people and no one could tell me what it was. I’ve been a member on UHH for many years but my old mind never thought to ask the experts in this field. I was hoping one of you might be able to explain this. Thank you in advance. Bruce Turpin
?? I don't have a clue either - But I'm going to stick around and see what happens
That totally looks like an object with structure. I don't usually dwell in this photographic area, but I would be very interested to find out more. Are you going to attempt to find it and reshoot?

This was just a small bright spot in the sky that looked like all the other stars
That's the alien mother ship that controls all the UFO's that everybody has been seeing.
An expoding meteor would be my guess, caught head on. One in billion chance. Also, I saw a fireball once that looked like a spherical sparker going across the sky and a green one that broke up in flight.
Great shot.
Or the great space cephapod.

I wonder if this could be the Lovejoy comet. The description kinda match? It was discovered 7 days after I took this picture. It would be kinda cool if I saw it first

No idea, Bruce.
And any guess would be at best speculation.
It could be lens flare and iris impression.
Or maybe you caught an iridium flare.
https://youtu.be/JUrf9FUb2UgThat'd be my guess.
