Haven't posted any images lately due to workload priorities.
We here in downeast Maine were very fortunate to be spared the brunt of hurricane Sandy. We here received some moderate winds and rain for a short duration and several severe thunder storms that closer resembled an earthquake the ground shook so much. The storm arrived during high tide and the full moon played into the mix as well.
I hope that all who felt the impact more severely have done so with minimal damage and impact. Our thoughts were and are with you.

Yesterday with no rain all day and high tide at 12 noon,...I was off to Quoddy State Park for the day with gear in tow,..an opportunity I had not expected to have. Seven hours flew by like seven minutes and I was rewarded with experiencing some dynamic sea conditions.

Got a couple of unexpected blasts of ocean surf by rogue waves,..may have dampened me,..but not my spirits. A few of my resulting efforts are posted here,...haven't had time to ready others,...later on.

Had some fun experimenting with a new variable ND filter I'm trying out,..doesn't that filter make a rough ocean look like a smooth silky fog rolling in against the rocks. I think I may like the straight ND filters better than the variable,..still testing.

Anyway nice to be back here posting,...all comments welcome, always enjoy the verbal exchanges sharing thoughts.

I hope you captured a few waves in camera burst mode. I would love to see a sequence of a big wave exploding against the rocks.
