Hi,
I have been taking photos for about 20 years and have used 35mm, Digital and so forth. I call myself an amatuer because I have a daughter that is gifted and takes professional shots. But I like to capture what I see in the shot. I hope to learn as much as I can from everyone. I find it is easier to take water shots when it is cloudy.

Welcome to the forum. Looks like from you MSU shot that you live in the same neck of the woods as I do. I haven't been here long, but I have learned plenty in the last few weeks.

Welcome, I too live in Michigan. Looking forward to seeing some of your pics. Hope you have fun learning here as I also am.

Btw, your pond with the coy pic is fabulous!
I like your photo but the distortion of the water at the coys head is distracting. For me this would have been a great photo without the coy.
I used to live in central Mi., but now in central Florida, Keep thinking a gator will jump out of picture at me...lol

I used to be from big rapids michigan and was a cop in shepard michigan now in vero beach florida. I loved your sjhot and wish the water wasn't distorted so you could see the koi better.
