First of all the unusual:
It took my wife and myself a couple of minutes to work out exactly what we were looking at when I first saw what I thought was a bird with something attached to its wings. It is actually the cocoon of the Bag-shelter Moth caterpillar which has been attached to a small tree branch which just happened to have a knobby part that looked like the head of a pigeon complete with an eye and a beak. Bag-shelter Moth caterpillars are often referred to as processionary caterpillars because they form long chains as they follow each other head to tail. They are also often referred to as "Itchy Grubs" because their bodies are covered with long hairs which for most people will result in intense itchy dermatitis or severe allergies if touched.

I guess this is unusual - there aren't many places called "Nowhere Else". This one is in Tasmania.

Also in Tasmania, but more whacky than unusual is this post office at Lower Crackpot which is recognised by Australia Post.

This would have been an unusual sight but we did not see any fish wearing shoes while walking along the seafront at Tumby Bay in South Australia.

Due to the long drought in some parts of Australia signs have been erected beside the highways warning motorists about cattle that eat cars!!

This bloke's car was probably a victim of the above so he has resorted to riding cattle instead of risking having his car eaten!!

Maybe just a little unusual but Queensland in Australia is cattle country and some kangaroos have sprouted horns.

Definitely something that you are not likely to see everyday - a fly through air-craft wash..
