On Friday we decided to take the dogs up to Mirror Lake for a hike around the lake. On the way, just off UT 150, is a scenic hike around Provo River Falls. At ~8900 feet, the moderate, short hike provides good photo ops of the falls and surrounding area.
As you can see, it was a heavily overcast day (with wind). Although the Uinta Mountains are also experiencing a drought, this high above the valley had a much better water flow than we had expected.
Downloads are always best.
Beautiful are some of these places National parks?

Thanks for your encouraging comments, Susan. This and the following posts are all in the Uinta-Wasatch National Forest. I will try to remember to mention that in my next posts.
Like the set Mike. Is the water level down for the falls?
Another beautiful set, Mike. I always find it relaxing looking at waterfalls and listening to the sound of the water. Nicely done.
Really nice Mike, I feel 10 degrees cooler just by looking at them.

Thanks, this is relatively low for the usual flow, but not bad considering our drought. There were recent rains which we think really helped.

I am a water lover, John, and it is fun to hike around this area. Cool and nice sounds.

Thanks, Jack, it was about 19 degrees cooler than the valley.
Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.
