What caused the color shift between these two

I was out in the back yard horsing around playing around with ISO. Had it set high for hummers, to get the higher shutter speed.

This first pic was at ISO 2000 the second was at 800. The first (purple) flower is correct color. The second one is blue, at ISO 800. Both histograms are close to the same. I can correct with tone curve in LR, but do not know the cause in the first place.

What caused the color shift. Take seconds apart. I took a few more after the second one including my gardener up a tree pruning, and it was also shifted. This was 7 days ago. Today, back to normal. I made no changes in the menu, only ISO, f-stop and shutter.

Do you have the camera set to auto white balance? It looks like a color temperature shift to me.

Looks like white balance to me as well - check your EXIF data. Should shed some light on the situation.

White balance issue. The first one WB is set to auto. The second, tungsten / incandescent.

Looking at the color, I would have guessed that was it.

Right on.....It is WB. I do not know how it got changed, but it did. I rechecked all the others and they were off too...Corrected all with a few clicks of the mouse.

Thanks guys for your help. It makes sense now, but I was scratching my head and I don't have enough hair left to scratch on.

thanks
Frank

Glad to help! Know all about the last, one of the great things in the West is that you can wear a hat everywhere and a cap most places! I can recall, before I relocated out here being the only guy in a famous bar in Cody who wasn't wearing hat.

I was the same way. Untill I relocated in 1969, I never wore a hat either. Now I do most of the time.

Thanks joe. Yup, I was waiting for the hummers, but they won't come around when I'm outside.

Are both Straight out of the camera?
Is there any chance you accidentally changed the white balance because it looks, to me, like its set to Tungsten.

Problem was solved above. It was WB. Some how I accidentally changed it without knowing it.

Thanks

It definitely looks like a white balance issue with the second one being incorrect. Are you sure it was on Auto WB?
