Hi. My name is Rick. I’m the owner and lead technician at Discount Camera Repair and a member in good standing here at the UHH. I’ve been doing repairs for other members here at greatly discounted rates and would be glad to help.
I'd be more than happy to repair the camera for you and keep the cost as low as possible. I've been repairing them for over 30 years. If you’re interested, please respond by private message.
I have a Rolleiflex 2.8 D. The shutter is sticking and needs to be cleaned, lubricated and calibrated. KEH Camera claims to repair them and has a service order on their website with a special category named Rolleiflex TLR and a flat fee of $350. On faith I sent mine to them in Smyrna, Georgia. When they get to it (which might be quite a while) they will evaluate it and repair it if they are able. It has been about six weeks but my UPS tracking confirms that they have it now. I will post a report when I know more. You could call them at 770-333-4200.
Previously I found a repair person near San Francisco who quoted $750.00 plus parts. That is more than the camera is worth to me.

I have a twin lens with a similar problem. I used a rubber band to give the shutter a little more oomph. looks hooky but it works.
Harry Fleenor has done work on my past Rollei's. Excellent work.

I also do complete CLA's on Rolleiflex TLR's and others. And I charge $100 less. If interested, please contact me by private message.

I got my Rolleiflex 2.8D back from KEH and it works perfectly. It was $350.00 well spent.
