At my wife's urging, I am posting wildflower shots that are not close ups. She prefers shots that show the flowers as they exist with other wildflowers on the mountainside.

The attached set from my Brighton hike shows groups of wildflowers that you come across going up and down the mountain.

If you have a favorite, I would love to hear about it and, if possible, why it is your favorite.

I like them all, Mike, but favor #5. As i’ve mentioned before, I prefer a close-up view in my own photography and have always admired your close-up work. The ideal would be a few wide angle shots to provide an overview followed by a few close-up shots to focus on the details, similar to what you’ve already done in this set.

With that said, I always share my photos with my wife, ask her opinion before posting and listen to her advice. She has a good eye as I’m sure your wife does too.

Given my preference/predilection for context in a shot, I'm happy to agree with Terry. Still, I wouldn't have minded too much if more had been included on the bottom of your last shot (#10), and in that, a semi-'close up' of another of the wildflowers dominated in either of the corner areas.

But whatever.

I always appreciate your feedback, Sensei, but I am not sure that I will share your support with Terry. It is hard enough to live with her now (LOL).
