A scene from Act III of Our Town by Thornton Wilder
Accepting her death, Emily pauses to say farewell to life
as she returns to her grave:
“Good-bye, good-bye world. Good-bye Grover’s Corners.......
Oh, Earth, you’re too wonderful for anybody to realize you.”
For some strange reason graveyards have a special attraction for us mortals. People are dying to get in as my father used to say. (what would this look like in color? Maybe a bit more cheerful!)
Interesting composure using what was available.
Evocative and excellent monochrome.
