Here is an image in both formats. I know it's a personal taste thing but, which one do you prefer?
Thanks for your comments!
The color version puts forward the sense of Americana that the image conveys so nicely. For example, in B&W I nearly missed the barber pole that’s to the left of the door and the flags lost their impact. You post a lot, and I always enjoy your shots.
Hi, tradio. Normally I would go for the black and white for a shot like this. Not sure, however. Both shots are kind of low on contrast, and if it were increased, I might be able to decide.
We live in a world full of color. I almost always choose color over black and white. In my opinion, the color image shows more detail than the B&W image.

The color one works for me.
Both are excellent, but I think the B&W works for this one.
I love the B&W for the clean, no distractions from the architectural features look. But, the color facade with every color in the Crayola box accounted for is hard to beat.

I'm with you. I use to say to all B/W photos 'Nice but nicer in color.' I've seen a couple that were great in B/W and I think would've lost something in color. But not this photo. The color image has it far over the B/W
I like most of your shots especially that antique shop Keep up the good work

Colour, just my opinion but the black & white lacks punch. It's an art that I haven't mastered (occasionally produce something worthwhile by chance) yet.
I watched an old U.K. black and white film (Whisky Galore) the other day. Those boys got more 'colour' in thier film shooting black and white at night than I ever seem to get.
I am a big fan of black and white, but color wins here for me.
I prefer the b&w version. This particular image needs contrast to improve its quality.
Try selective color. Might surprise you.
