My first car was a '57 Chevy like this, nowhere near this pristine.
I had a red one in 1974. Found it in perfect condition in a friend's mother's barn; stored. Bought it for $100 to drive while I rebuilt the 327 in my '64 Impala. Crashed it, got just $150 from the other driver's insurance company. They are worth a bit more now...
I had one in pretty decent shape not as good as this and a different color and a very busy back seat
Excellent shots - thanks for the memory
Yeah, I remember the backseat of my buddy's 56, drive-ins, girls, steamy windows. Kids now don't know what they missed.
I like your second shot. It captures the pretty car and the feel of what it was like to be there. In the first one my eye was drawn more to the stuff on the ground under the car and to the couple walking by. All that was distracting. In the second image the building in the background and the people walking around, the balance of reds on either side of the subject, create a scene that a viewer can insert himself into.

Hey Mike
Why don’t you purchase one?
I like everything about this 57 except the red brake drums. Takes away from the overall theme.
You could fit about 6-8 large suitcases in the trunk, too.
Try that in you Kia.
Prettiest car ever built.
UTMike: What do you mean “youth?”Still is. 😉
