Implants are like toupees. You guys think they are all bad because you only see the bad ones. Same thing with toupees. I know two guys that wear a rug that I guarantee you would never know from real hair. And for quite a few years I dated a woman with implants that no one knew they were, and trust me, I inspected them closely. What you are considering is the fault of the "fake" item isn't inherent, it's the skill of the person doing it.

That's exactly right. It is 100% guaranteed ink will be seen on bare skin. It is much less than 100% guaranteed implants will be realized unless they are very poorly done or insanely over sized. Ink ruins the human canvas 100%. Implants far less.
I didn't comment on ink, and I should have. Regarding ink, I feel, as I do in many areas, the distinguished architect Meis van de Rohe, who said "Less is more." For those of you who need a translation, and this is advice that can be applied to most anything in life, Don't overdo it!
This has been a fun and interesting read. Some of us contributing here primarily work with our partners, so not much choice there, LOL. FYI, the muse is a natural lady with one rose tattoo on her neck. All the women I have ever photographed nude, to my knowledge, have been natural. Most have had ink.
There is a trend these days for older, busty women to get a breast lift. This normally requires the nipple to be moved and that procedure leaves a perfectly round scar around the areola that never looks natural. Of course, I imagine most of the ladies getting the procedure are thinking about what they'll look like in a swimsuit or clothes, where this little detail will go unnoticed. That said, I really don't care for the look on a figure model. I recently shot a friend's wife that's contemplating this procedure. I personally think her figure is fine in its natural state of decline
Another of the friends I've photographed has just undergone a double mastectomy and she'd like to do a Fk! Cancer set when her reconstruction is completed and healed. That will be interesting.
I met a nurse last week that was working with my wife. She moonlights doing cosmetic tattooing. Her specialty is tattooing in areola after reconstructions. She and my wife had a very interesting conversation about areola size and color that had me blushing.
As for my personal preference, if I was hiring a model from a group of portfolios that included nude images I would shy away from implants. A model's ink can be flattering or not, they really have to be judged on a case-by-case basis. I don't care for collections of small, cheap tattoos without any theme on men or women.

I like the rose AND the horns :) Can't wait to see more of her again!
Ink, with implants a close second.
All you anti ink and implant guys need to understand that times change. If you don't like it, become Amish or Orthodox Jewish.
Is this the most prolonged subject to hit UHH?
Rabbi. Tattoos just turn me off especially when all over their body. In our religion (Jewish) to me that is decimating their body which is a no-no. The body is supposed to be patterned after what GOD looks like. Also some women go too far (too much) as far breast implants. As the muscles stretch from the weight many years later they look terrible plus the muscle pain the the women feel. Besides too big just doesn't look right ro me anyway.
I'm on board with the artistic folks. I generally appreciate a little ink, if well or tastefully done. I like to see that someone has a little personality and interest in something. I generally am against bolt-on boobs but again, if well done and not excessive. I also realize some women get them for their own health and esteem so I try not to judge too harshly.
But a bad photo is still just a bad photo, however gratuitous it may or may not be. I think we are all aware of the difference between art and porn: that L word.
Holy crap I just realized how old this post is. Ugh.
