This is a strongly cropped image. I took it because of the sunrise reflecting off the fence, and only saw the bird later at pp.

That was my other choice, but I did not change the colors at all. Males are much brighter red, and females tend much more towards green. Of course the low angle of the sun could be the culprit.

I agree....... From my search it is probably a young cardinal or maybe a towhee.

Definitely a juvenile cardinal. Cute little one, probably waiting for mom or dad to bring a bite to eat. Nice capture!
