This is a view of Mt. Wilbur from the Many Glaciers Hotel.
It was a few years ago as the last time I was there it was very overcast and rain.
I got lucky with the sky after the sun went down. Sometimes you get better colours after the sun has set.

Great reflection of the red clouds. Excellent composition.

Great shot of a great scene. I was there 20 years ago but the scene was nothing like this that. night. Winds were about 30-40 mph and all you could see in the lake was white caps. I do remember carrying our luggage out to the parking lot and seeing a Griz walk through the parking lot next to our car that already had my cameras and lenses in the trunk and hoping the bear didn't decide to investigate my car. He walked on and went up the hill and out of site. Told my wife about it and she didn't believe it till she heard it from someone else.
Absolutely great shot!

The weather there is changeable. Last time I was there it rained off and on and it was overcast. No sunsets at all.
Some days are diamonds and some are rocks.

Outstanding image, tomcat. There is also a beautiful shot of the alpenglow on Grinnell Point at sunrise from the same spot. If your there again, be sure to get up early.

Beautiful - I think I prefer the top half on it's own. Your exposure is perfect.

II don't know if I will be able to get back, the crowds are too much. Maybe someday.
I used to go during Sept when there were fewer people there, but now there is no time when there is fewer people.

Sunrise, I would love to see it. Where do you catch it from?
