The male Eurasian Collared Dove on the right kept doing the "head bob and coo" while pursuing the female all over the yard. When he would get too close she would take off. This one off the roof of the old swing set/play house I caught both in one frame with a fairly good focus and light. Finally after about 10 rejections he turned to the bird food for consolation and let her fly off. Then he took off in the same direction.
The boy doesn't seem to comprehend NO!

In 16 years total teaching time at the Jr High level and 18 years at the Sr High level I saw a lot of both. And have vague memories of my own time in those age brackets and then having kids of my own (Youngest 27 next month and she is in 3rd year Medical School so I guess we got it mostly right on raising her and her two brothers.)
