Too much red. Too much yellow

I recently did a shoot of a house for a realtor. I used a Canon 6D and a Canon Speedlite 430EX. Most of the photos came out good but some of them had excessive color imbalance. For some of the interior shots it was as though I used a red filter. Too much red everywhere. And for a couple of outdoor shots all the colors were well balanced except for the clouds. They were yellow. Where do I need to make readjustments, or is there something wrong with the camera or the flash gun?

One of the two issues with color is white balance and hue compensation. Most everyone pays attention to white balance but rarely adress hue compensation.

Very likely, from the look of your posted examples, you need a haircut.

You know the drill. If you have a technical question about what happened in an image, you need to provide an example, as an unedited JPEG version of the image, that demonstrates the question, being sure to store the attachment.

And don't forget to hit "Add Attachment" right next to (store original).

Use auto WB? Most likely different lighting (eg. tungsten, florescent, Natural or Sunlight with a mix from the inside lights from the windows etc. in some of the rooms). Would a Color Checker Passport from Xrite work here or, maybe color filters on a flash?

If you had the incandescent lights on at the house while shooting, you may get a color shift

What color were the walls of the room you were shooting? I do not do real estate photography but I have had colored walls reflect that color in portraits.

Faulty flash. Color balance (white) off. Colored walls used to bounce flash any or all the above. If it was film all that and more! I’m an old film guy. So…your printer calibration and/or you computer used for stored images is”off”. Setting in Lightroom or whatever photo program has been altered? I’ve done that after being “artistic”
and not resetting everything back to “normal” parameters.

Oh one quickie. Sensor damaged due excessive heat? Due to heat, here in the Northwest and in my car, camera stays home in a cool place until paid to use it. Point and shooter goes with, and I have my iPhone as needed.

I think you've answered my question. However. For outdoor shots I set my camera accordingly. And I'm sometimes getting yellow clouds when they should be white.

What do you mean by "accordingly"? Are you setting a WB for a specific temperature or are you using the camera's Daylight or even Auto?

Not having a 6D, I don't know what the WB settings are.
