Still for sale a four month old but hardly used Nikon D850. It is one of the best DSLR cameras ever produced by Nikon even though I am not strong enough to hold the camera steady enough to avoid camera shake. There is probably only 50 shots taken with the camera all of which were decent but not "tack sharp". I paid $2995 and would like to sell for a reduced excellent like new condition of $2,400. I have all original packaging that came with camera, box, charger, battery, booklet, D850 Nikon strap cables, etc. A buyer will not be disappointed.
Unfortunately camera's are like cars..once they are off the lot you take away 1/3 of the value
People seem to be willing to pay $2,300 to $2,400 from other resellers where you can't be sure of prior handling. They also seem to be willing to accept scratches on the body. I m selling a new condition camera at a discounted price to reflect the excellent condition.
The problem you may be going up against is that a lot of potential buyers may know that the D850 came on sale for $2500 a couple of times a year.
The last sale is the only one I ever remember. Right now the only new D850 you can buy would be an imported Grey Market camera.
If your camera won't sell here then try another venue. For the most part people here are looking for a "killer" deal. Try Facebook Marketplace or a specific Nikon forum. I sell equipment on the Canon and Fuji sites on FB with better results. Good luck and don't give up.
You could also try FredMiranda buy and sell.
Are you considering any trades plus cash?

That's been my experience!
B and H has D850s for sale for $2,996.95. I'm betting they aren't gray.

No they aren't Grey. That is the current price for the new D850's . Someone was trying to tell me that the recent sale price is what you can still buy the camera for which was $2499. I wrote back that if you are buying the camera for $2499 it is probably a Grey market camera.

Every Nikon dealer in the USA and the Nikon site itself it discounted it at the sale price in November 2020 and May 2021. It was not Grey market. As I mentioned, these big sales occur a couple of times a year. I didn't say it was the current price.

I agree with you. You are selling cars not Hugos.
