I did a photo shoot with my friend Allie last Saturday. What do you think?

Hi Wayne, first of all I like the relaxed poised poses, and the details in the hair are beautiful. I lean towards a low key style but like seeing high key work also. It seems like her forehead and other highlight areas got too bright and washed out. Her pupils probably should be small for this high key style.
As I’ve had to do, see if your monitor is set too dim which leads you to make the image too bright. Email the picture to yourself and view it on your smartphone as a check. My problem is that I usually go too dark, LOL. If you have the raw file and the high end isn’t off the histogram, maybe try increasing just the midrange in Levels as a start.
I hope my amateur feedback is helpful as I’m not a pro and have avoided portrait work so far.
Best,
Craig
Kinda washed out. The color ones are super.
I agree that the second set is somewhat washed out.
I like the style of these and am quite sure they’re presented exactly as you intended. Very nice!

I reiterate my words from my reply to your previous post with the color photos.
I really like #1--you shot "short" and it shows more shadow so more contour. Very old skool style but nothing wrong with that. I bet lots of GI's in Viet Nam would have liked that one of their sweetheart inside their helmet.
