The Imperial Palace Hotel in Las Vegas used to have one of the best collection of automobiles I have seen outside of the Harrah's collection in Reno and I always took time out to visit it whenever I was in town. There was an admission charge but if you entered through the front door of the casino there was usually someone handing out free tickets. The collection had one whole room devoted to Dusenbergs and had some truly remarkable automobiles. The last time I was in Las Vegas (2017) for a convention the Imperial Palace was no more but there was still an automobile museum but one that was much different than the original one. First of all, the entire collection of Duseys had been sold and almost all of the remaining cars were for sale. Here are a few of the better ones they had along with a full description of each with the asking price.

Look at it again, that is a 1958 Buick, Bill.
Hi Paul and many thanks for proposing such a selection.
I believe we all loved these cars and thanks again for recalling them.

Beautiful car shots! I have my 2nd 1966 Mustang in my garage right now. I had one when they were new, too, but sold it 5 years later (in Iran). The current one was restored by an old guy in Denison, Texas in the late 1980s. They were/are both red.
A little rich for my blood but awesome images Shaun.

Beauties, Shaun. Remember them all as new. Well done and thanks for sharing.
Nice photos & Post. I had no idea the prices of these would be that high.
Nice set of some classics.
I am lucky enough to remember the Imperial Palace auto collection. This was always a highlight of my many LV trips. The Dusenburg collection was world class and plentiful. The owner history was normally part of the experience. Most were owned by very famous and notorious people. A once a week radio show was broadcast within the Dusenburg viewing room. Also on display were Hitler parade cars but were soon taken away because of negative press. Unfortunately it is all gone and I sure do miss seeing and photographing all of those fine automobiles. A few books were published concerning this collection and are still available.
Thanks for posting and bringing back fine memories.
