I got an iPhone 12 pro because it has a great camera I can have with me at all times. Manual does not tell me how to access the raw photos. My jpegs go automatically to my icloud. Where is the raw? Called tech suppose he didn't even know what raw was
ProCamera, an app available on the Apple Store, gives the option for jpeg, heif, tiff or raw+jpeg. It also allows far more control of your camera. Inexpensive enough to give it a try and toss it if you don't like it.
The iPhone 12 Pro has raw available. Access Settings and under the camera you can turn on raw. This feature was available on one of the updates from Apple.
Open the camera as if to take a photo. At the top right of the screen there is a flattened oval with the word RAW with a slash through it. Tap it and the slash goes away, so the photos you shoot will be captured in raw. Warning, you'll have to do it again every time you close and repen the camera. Otherwise, you'll be shooting in jpeg.
Have fun! I LOVE my new iphone 12! Sharp images and lots of pixels in the raw photos!
