Looks like it's a free upgrade from Windows 10. I had to buy new video card and new usb-wifi adapter when upgrade from Windows 7 to 10. I guess I may have to do the same upgrading to Windows 11.

Don't understand why you would think that or why you had to when going from 7 to 10. I upgraded 3 computers without any isssues.

Because both of my video card and USB-Wifi adapter worked erratically. I found that the manufacturer of the video card AMD and the manufacturer of the USB-Wifi adapter TP-Link don't have Windows 10 driver for them. Windows 10 upgrade install a generic driver which would work but very badly.
The USB-wifi would lose connection very often and the video card sometimes turn off a monitor and it would turn off the main one.

There is a computer check from Microsoft that will let you know if Win 11 will work on your computer.

Did I miss something. This is the first time I heard anything about Windows 11. Is this some kind of a joke or are you guys trying to give this old man a heart attack.

It was just officially announced today. Many of us have been aware of today's planned event for a while.

I’ll be 95 by then so maybe I should stick to Windows 10

Win 10, which was installed without authorization, messed up so many things I made them put me back on Win 7. Not supported, but works darn well so far. I'm due for a new computer, I suppose Win 11 will be unavoidable.

I ran the computer check when I upgraded from 7 to 10. It said OK but then I did run into problem.
