I have the tamron 70-200 2.8. It is an awesome lens. Tack sharp and much less than the Nikon equivalent.

Consider the Tamron 70- 200mm 2.8 G2 it gets great reviews ancost much less

Yup gonna trade in the 70-300 to offset the cost some. I won't get much for it but it is an easy seamless transaction
