FINALLY! An UN-cancelled car show in Northern Michigan. This is from the Father's Day Car Show in Lewiston, Michigan. It's good to see the other postings from shows across the country also.
I, like many like to see the whole car, but I also like the details. As already noted by many, it is sometimes difficult to get any kind of good shot of the whole car. I have found that patience, a substantially sized camera, and getting down on one knee seems to get results, sometimes. Surprisingly, when most folks see what I'm doing, they stand back and wait for me to get the shot. At least that happens in this neck of the woods.
If I see a car I really like and the hood is open, I often ask the owner if he'll close it for me so I can get a good profile shot. So far I've never been turned down.
I'll post the results car by car in the coming days. Hope you enjoy them.
I am kind of sore today from all that getting down on one knee routine.
Really nice. Got a kick out of the license plate.
Beautiful car, beautiful shots.
Very nice shots. Love old Chevies, but prefer them stock.

Love the old cars and trucks . A real beauty for sure . Thanks for sharing , Tommy
Well done street machine! Although I would have done it without the kitschy flames.

The car all the swashbuckling young dudes wanted in the 1940s.
