Entertainment.
Entertainment is a form of activity that holds the attention and interest of an audience or gives pleasure and delight. It can be an idea or a task, but is more likely to be one of the activities or events that have developed over thousands of years specifically for the purpose of keeping an audience's attention.
Although people's attention is held by different things because individuals have different preferences, most forms of entertainment are recognizable and familiar. Storytelling, music, drama, dance, and different kinds of performance exist in all cultures, were supported in royal courts, developed into sophisticated forms and over time became available to all citizens.

Nice start, and thanks for hosting. Should be a good one, Photogirl. Back when the kids were grown & gone and we joined the empty nesters (or so we thought, but that’s another story) we vowed to take interesting travels some time in the summer when Dee wasn’t teaching. And…. Before digital became our “go to entertainment”, we were entertained by getting film and prints developed. Then putting together an album to hold our prints, and maybe picking out a few to enlarge and frame. And now we can entertain ourselves by pulling out an album and reliving those entertaining travels🙂🙃😋🌝
Lots of albums full of prints for the kids to throw away when the time comes.

.... most recently we've begun to go online and design a book with our images and have them send us a book to entertain us.

Still we like to entertain ourselves with tho old albums from time to time as well.

I have already done that sorting and removing over 65 album to spare my kids. Here is my take on "entertainment". The first image is from the Amish country in northeast Ohio, the second from the Taos, NM Pow Wow, and the third of an outdoor ballet performance in Bicentennial Park here in Columbus.

A long, wonderful, and bittersweet history of jam sessions in our family; unfortunately, this was the last one at a family reunion in 1989. My dad in the blue shirt playing his hardanger (sp?) violin, and assorted aunts and an uncle joining in. All have passed except one aunt.
