Roosevelt Park is one of the nicest parks in Central Jersey, and I go there often. Attached is a SOOC shot taken in October 2020, and I didn't exactly nail the exposure.
Fortunately, Nikon D800E files are very forgiving, and I think you can rescue this sad image from the sorry state it's in.

You captured an absolutely beautiful fall landscape picture Bill. I saw some fishing polls in the foreground were you or your family at the other end?
Most of my edits were done with camera raw editor. I worked quite a bit removing the left tree limb fringing against the sky using Select Color masks in conjunction with a desaturation layer. Took four layers to get rid of the most noticeable fringing.
Thanks Jim - just me and the camera were there this visit. Wonderful edit.
I've been trying for hours to get this to upload! Not sure what the problem is. Anyone else having difficulty? I'm giving up!

Probably the file size is too big. I try to keep mine under 10mg. Just change your image size to about half was it is then save as jpg and see if that works. If not reduce some more.

I've been taking it down and down. Maybe I'll send it as a 4x6!
Trying one more time!!!!!
Did my standard PP in LR - highlights down, shadows up, a bit of clarity.
Well, that time it was only 5 mg and still wouldn't go!

Check that you're exporting as a jpeg.
Nice scene. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, R.G. That was my first mistake that was corrected.
Thanks to Jim-Pops who made my image even smaller, I'll try uploading it again. If it works, I owe him a big thanks!
