Yesterday I was up in Manchester (NH) and took the opportunity to go into Hunt Photo to buy some PhotoFlo because I have a wayward roll of film from my Bronica to develop. I bought that along with a couple of plastic bottles. Then I looked at cameras.
45 minutes later and some $2600+ later I walked out.
With: A Nikon Z6 kit (with the 24-70 f/4 lens), an FTZ adapter ($99.95 if bought with the camera), a CFexpress card of some 128 gigabytes, a reader for the card, a polarizing filter, and an extended 3 year warranty against everything including loss and damage and destruction. The Z6 is currently on a Nikon-wide sale.
GAS attack has been assuaged. The menu and button structure is somewhat different from my D7100 but close enough that intuition and judicious use of the manual will get me through. And ergonomically, it is a joy to hold and to use.

I wish I had a camera store near me. My on-line shopping has not been a very pleasant experience.
Wrong vendorS ? Wrong advisors ? Unrealistic expectations ? International shopping ? Many snares :-(

The last line says everything needed to be said!
Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. The most beautiful thing of all is the confidence to go mirrorless.

Did you forget to get the Photo Flo?
Nah, I got the Photo Flo also. Turns out Photo Flo is a "gateway drug."
BTW Nikon has a huge discount, relatively, on the FTZ adapter if you buy it WITH the camera $249.95 alone, $99.95 if you buy it with the camera.

If that last line was anything other than "everything needed to be said" we'd all be taking all our pictures on smart phones. It is the pleasure of using a fine instrument that makes so much of the relevant difference.

Good. For. You. Enjoy your new Nikon!
I love Hunts - I just jump over the border to the Holyoke, MA store or go to Cambridge for their great photo walks.
Nothing like letting a little GAS escape. Enjoy your Nikon.
Congratulations! Love Hunt’s!
For a purchase that big, I need more time than 45 minutes to decide. More like an entire week! Compulsive shopping isn't my thing.
When shooting video the five axis stabilization well amaze you however it becomes three axis When using regular Nikon lenses with the adapter. Not much of a loss

Good deals north of the border. I’m from the Merrimack valley in MA. I could walk to NH (weather permitting).
Walk in, no shipping, no state tax.
Yeah, but then you have to carry it home. ;-)
Congrats and enjoy. What Nikon lenses do you already own?

Nice! I too have GAS attacks but not for gear but for dogs. I field trial and hunt English Cockers and Pointers in their respective venues and often feel the need for a new puppy, ECS especially! But I grit my teeth until the attack passes for my wife is not a fan of my doggy expenditures. I believe that she thinks the money could possibly be better spent on, say, a trip to Europe! Or perhaps Florida in the winter months as we live in Northern Michigan. But it's tough for me (a retired college professor) to afford all of that. But maybe FL this winter. :-) Harry PS I get along nicely with my Canon FF and too many lens, don't really feel a need for more gear. (Perhaps until Canon comes out with a FF 30 or 40mp at a low price and maybe a reasonably priced 12-400 f1.8 lens! <g>)

The only way to get out of a gas attack is to fill 'er up. Enjoy your new gear.
