We've booked a cruise and have a concern with queuing up to get through customs and ship processes. Due to back and leg problems I can stand only for a short period of time. I've heard of something called Port Valet Service where someone will handle your bags, and help get through the check-in processes. Has anyone used that service? If not, can you suggest some other ways to handle this issue for us? Thanks in advance.
my trick is trying to be in front in the transfer bus, get out and make dash for the check in gate, find my cabin then sit on the deck, port side, and watch the snail line move
as far as help going true check inn, a competent travel agent should be able to answer your question, if not, find a better one for your next trip.

I purchased from the cruise line. I'll check further with them for help. Thanks for responding.
We paid for an upgrade once that gave all sorts of benefits, including priority boarding. We were at San Juan, but due to being late off a golf course all the queues had long gone, so we never benefited from that part of the deal. We had sent our suitcases ahead and they were waiting outside our cabin. In my experience of fifteen or so cruises, this was the only one where we never stood in line anywhere for even a second. OK we missed some of the pre embarkation treats, but being out on the golf course was far preferable. With Covid restrictions of course things are likely to have changed significantly.
You can always request a wheelchair. At airports, we bypass lines and get priority treatment. We are, of course, actually in need of assistance.
The porters make money by the party. They have a way to get you and your bags through customs wicked fast. No waiting in line. Our first cruise I thought I could handle our own bags, then we saw the porter staff and their guests just walking through in their own line. Definitely worth the money.
All the cruises I have been on have places to sit while you wait, Princess and Viking?
