The Roseate Spoonbills migrate here every year to nest over the swamps of N.E. Florida. They are absolutely my favorite Florida waterbird. (Probably every Florida photographer says that.) Some of these images are not that clear, but I want to post them anyway, because they show feeding time. The very dark pink Spoonbill is the parent, the pale pink, the baby. Some of the babies have been banded, but are in no way contained in a zoo. They do this to track migration patterns.
