The ar 15 is more for varmints. Are you thinking the AR10 in 308?
Nice hunting rifle and caliber.

Cool. An AR15 for hunting critters.
An AR15 works well for killing woodchucks who dig holes everywhere.

We used to shoot ground hogs on canal banks. They dug holes all over the bank so it would weaken and flood fields. This was while I was in high school. We earned 10 cents for every one we took to the farmers.

Several retailers here offer guns with purchases in the fall, especially auto dealers.
Unfortunately the gun offer for vaccinations is probably going after the wrong audience of vaccine deniers.
I think they are going after exactly the right audience. If you want to convince Conservatives to get a vaccine give them an incentive that they understand. Nearly 50 percent of Republicans say they are not going to get the vaccine compared to a very small percentage of Democrats.
Since the goal of the vaccine proponents is to hit a 70 percent vaccination rate they need to get some of those Republicans to get a vaccine. Perhaps an offer of a chance to get a new gun for free is an incentive that might work.
It's certainly a better use of state resources than what Newsom is doing in California. He is spending 116.5 million on vaccination incentives for a state that has a population of approximately 40 million. That means that he could offer everyone who gets a shot $1,000,000, save the government nearly 76 million and virtually everyone would rapidly agree to get vaccinated.
Sounds like West Virginia's attempt is a much cheaper effort to get holdouts vaccinated. What does it hurt to try.

Actually he could give everyone $2 and save $36 million. Or go big and give everyone $3 and only have to spend $3.5 million more.

My bad, don't know where I got 116.5 million instead of 16.5 million. You are correct.

By the way, even though I was using the wrong numbers in my math, the point is still valid. They could give $400,000 to each person who was vaccinated and still spend less money than they are spending. And, don't you think that people would rush out to get vaccinated even if it was just $250,000?
So, the question still stands, where are they wasting the rest of the money? It is obvious that Newsom is just throwing money around in an effort to buy off people that otherwise might have voted to recall him.

At $400k per person that is 2.5 people per million dollars, 25 people for $10 million dollars or 250 people for $100 million dollars. Is this the new math under Common Core or am I just not seeing something.

I worked late last night. Obviously I am math challenged when tired. My apologies.
