World Wide Minimum Tax

Buried deep in a story in the Fort Worth Star Telegram by Zeke Miller, AAmen Madhand and Jill Lawless initially talking about global COVID vaccine supplies is a paragraph stating the G7 will embrace a global minimum tax of 15% on multinational companies. I searched through other articles trying to find another source without success. Unfortunately if this is true the tax will be spread around the globe and I suspect the poorest nations will be hit hardest. Has anyone else noticed this recommended tax?

I would prefer a maximum tax without deductions of the 15%. Several years ago a friend in Ukraine said that the only way he survived was paying bribes to tax collectors. If he paid all of the taxes dues at all levels he would have paid close to 200% of the gross income from his store.

Been talked about for a while and merits many positive thoughts. That is unless you're a corp who has been gaming the system!
