Not wanting to repeat images I displayed last time we did "bridges", I took a little drive yesterday to see if I could get some decent images of the covered bridge at nearby West Montrose. It is supposedly one of only two remaining covered bridges in Ontario and carries heritage designation as of 2007.
https://www.historicplaces.ca/en/rep-reg/place-lieu.aspx?id=8291&pid=0Returning, I also passed through the familiar village of Conestogo, where I found the Glasgow Street bridge scheduled for rehabilitation, under a Federal grant. Not far away is a memorial plaque which might interest American Hoggers, though nothing directly to do with bridges. The name Berlin, on that plaque, refers to the current city of Kitchener - name changed in a very contentious referendum in 1915, when also, Queen Victoria's statue was dumped in the pond!

Fine images of structure 💯💯💯
