Thanks.
If Lightroom 4 doesn't give me what I'm after, Nik's Silver Effects Pro 2 always deliver. Very good plug-in. (sorry, I don't have examples with me at this moment)
I agree, Nik Software silver Efex Pro is an excellent choice. I use mine as a plug in to Photoshop Elements 9 - I can't post a before and after at the moment either, but I would highly recommend this program. It gives the option of different film effects and toning and more! Having worked with black and white film in a smelly darkroom, I embrace technology which gives me access to different image effects without it being a health hazard
Hi, Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 for me.

Thanks. Nik Silver Efex Pro is the one I've heard as being the best. I'll check to see if they have a trial available.
There sure is. It's a 30 day trial.
It's very good and if you used to develop your own its even easier to use!

Yeah, I remember the smell of the darkroom and loading spools by Braille. Do you use Nik Efex as a plug-in with LightRoom-- or something else?
I use it with CS5, but I don't think it makes any difference. It may but I can't see how.
Open a jar of pickled onions and you'll be there, back in darkroom mode;)
In my opinion Nik SilverEfex Pro is the best out there. They have so many wonderful presets and many free custom presets for download as well.

Thanks. BTW, you've posted some awesome macros recently.

NIK Silver Efex - hands down.
Don't have the "before" handy but I can describe them: looks like these but in color.

Very nice. #3 looks like a Karsh-- and that's the highest compliment I can think off for B&W portraiture.
