I have set my Iphone camera to alway take the location under setting: “Location” But often only the date of the photo appears not the location. On the very same day, I get photos with location and date but also get photos with only the date..
I have thousands of photos and don’t always remember where a photo was taken.(Age is a factor for sure)
I have apps to show EXIF data but they can usually show the date but only sometimes the location.
Why can’t the exif capture location? Is there some way to ensure location gets captured?
Thank you
Signal strength and GPS access? Any pattern to shots missing location (e.g., remote, tall buildings)?
Are you sure you were really there for those images where the location data is missing? Maybe the phone is telling you something.
I think twice about using my Iphone to take pictures as it records location as well.

Right! GPS! I'm surprised the iPhone doesn't have that. Or maybe it does.

Yep, but it is gonna cost you $$$.... Canon 5 IV records, as part of exif data, lat/long/alt from its built in GPS! aside from the cameras' cost the only other downside is that the internal GPS draws the battery down kinda quickly......now if it only would put the data on the frame........
