We have three rose bushes in our garden, two red and one pink. Everything has been normal until this year. If somebody has an explanation why red roses would grow on a pink bush, I would love to hear it.
Standard red rose bush, really flowering.

You should check and see if the red stems are sprouting from the pink trunk or if they are a volunteer growing up inside the rose bush.
From my days growing roses that is called a sport. Genetics signaled the bush to put out a red rose. If the pink and red are the same variety I would not be surprised at all.

I’ll check that out, gingerly.
