Just a USB cable with the proper connectors for your iPad and PC. iPads can use a lightning or a USB C connector depending on the model. The PC always has a USB A connector. Search the Internet for your iPad model”s specs. They will say what connector you need.

Adapter not necessary. User your “normal” cable assuming it’s a USB variant that your computer can handle. 99% are USB-A, I believe.

As soon as I can, I'll give it a try! Thanks again!

I was wandering how one could possibly print a photo from an iPad if you do not have a Wi-Fi enabled printer? Any suggestions??

You can email to a computer connected to the printer and files up to 5GB using the free built in Mail Drop if you are using an iPad. You will receive a link as your email and then you click that and download the big file. See text below cut from Apple.
Mail Drop lets you send large files like videos, presentations, and images through iCloud. If you shared links through Mail Drop that are no longer available, you might have exceeded one or more of the service limits.

With Mail Drop, you can send attachments up to 5 GB in size. You can send these attachments right from Mail on your Mac, the Mail app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, and from iCloud.com on your Mac or PC. All files types are supported and attachments don’t count against your iCloud storage. If a message, including its attachments, is larger than your Internet Service Provider (ISP) limit, Mail will ask you to send the attachments using Mail Drop.

I fo upload a few to mi iPad when away. I only shoot in jpeg now cause I have a Fuji & they are just that good. If I need to I use the app Snapseed to edit. Then upload an image to FB or Instagram for friends/family.

Files are files. Email doesn't care what the file format is, just the size. A jpeg or raw or Word file are all the same to the copy command or as an attachment to an email.

gmail and yahoo are now 25 mb.

And there are splitting programs that will split a file into the specified number of pieces and put them back together again. I have no idea if there is such an app for an iPad. They were fairly common back in the day for PCs.

There is an app named "Printer Pro" which you install as an application on your desktop computer and an app which you download to your iPad. Your desktop computer advertises Printer Pro to the network and an iPad, iPhone, or Android device can print to the Desktop App which then prints to the printer. Seamless.

Well you have had some interesting suggestions

1. sneakernet.

2. e-mail

I will add a couple more:

Dropbox or some other similar service. A computer with a printer then can be used.

After processing to jpg send your file to Printique or similar service.

Or send to Costco, Bay Photo, Adorama, etc.

This includes body text and header info.

Gmail says you can send a 25MB attachment...

Basically you need a print server.

You can connect your wired printer to a print server attached to your network.
