All you have to do is look at the numbers. Pretty simple. FYI, NYC reported ZERO deaths yesterday from Covid.
Well, the Governor finally stopped sticking covid ppl into the nursing homes...that sure helped.
The infirmed are always at risk...from any infectious disease.
But it sure inflates the numbers...

The only people dying now from Covid are younger people who havenβt received the vaccine for whatever reason. Again ... facts.

They need a better beer to motivate me.
But I doubt there is one good enough to make me do it.
I've had the virus...2 days of meh.
My body did its work...no need for a vaccine.
You are apparently in the fortunate majority--but too many have suffered severe effects. I was never happier to get a stick in the arm when it was made available to me. But then I'm old, fat and diabetic so my risk factors were much higher. I do have a daughter in law however who is declining, despite serious health factors. Hope we all get thru this thing.

The problem there is that a lot of falsification of death certificates is occurring.
Minnesota estimates 40% of covid declared deaths are false.
New Jersey reports that almost 90% of patients who had COVID-19 listed as a cause of death had a 'Do Not Resuscitate Order' in place before their hospitalization. So these folks were already plenty sick.
The CDC has already admitted that their testing was faulty and resulted in a lot of false positives.
The whole thing is a ... mess.
Politics has corrupted the entire issue.
Bless you, and bless the lives of the people you've saved.

So, what does everyone think about the recently acknowledged fact that only about one-half of the employees of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) have been vaccinated?
Any thoughts as to what that might mean about the vaccine?
I think it says more about the employees than the vaccine. Willing to risk lives, both theirs and that of any hapless stranger they may come into contact with.
I might go for a second round if they offered better beer.

It is an interesting question. However as Dr. Walensky (the head of the CDC) acknowledged, since the Federal government doesn't require one to tell their employer whether they have been vaccinated, no one really knows. The replies of the two other people (Dr. Fauci and Dr. Marks) are pure guesses. There could of course be some employees at these institutions who haven't been vaccinated for many reasons. Personally, my whole family has been vaccinated and am very happy that we were.

Your comment regarding risk applies only to hapless strangers who, likewise, have not been vaccinated. Immunization quid pro quo in action?

...and some may lie and say they have been vaccinated. Secrets work both ways. The problem with unknowables is that they can't be known.
HIPAA protects the privacy of those who want it.

Also, the COVID pandemic showed us one thing, the people who work at the CDC are, like the rest of us, quite fallible. The initial test the CDC employees developed for the virus was a total failure, setting us back months in the fight against this virus. In addition they made many other mistakes, like not quarantining people who arrived on planes from the cruise ships with known cases of COVID. So not sure what it means if some of these people are against getting vaccinated, clearly not all of them have the best judgment.

Totally agree Mark

Well...there's nothing quite like rushing vaccines to market without thorough testing.
What could possibly go wrong...
It is obvious that no amount of persuasion will induce you to be vaccinated. I hope you continue to be spared.
